Complaints

If a parent has a problem or issue it is important to deal with it as soon as possible.

The steps for dealing with an issue are:

1.    Approach the class teacher informally (we welcome contact from parents and this often ensures problems are dealt with quickly and positively).

2.   Arrange an outside of school time to meet with the class teacher.   Class teachers will record information detailing when the meeting took place, any actions decided upon, and whether a follow up meeting is necessary.

3.    Arrange an interview time with the Principal.   The Principal will record information detailing when the meeting took place, any actions decided upon, and whether a follow up meeting is necessary.

4.   If the issue is of an extremely serious nature or there is no progress made through dialogue with the staff member or principal then a formal complaint may be made to the Board of Trustees.  This should be signed and in written form.
